Children followed: Police swoop to arrest man

A 64-year-old man has been arrested following a series of incidents which saw children being followed in Great Cornard.

Police received three reports of children being approached by strangers between 3.30pm and 5.30pm on Thursday.

A man from the Sudbury area was arrested on suspicion of common assault on Friday afternoon.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was released on bail to return to the centre on March 8.
