Call for artists

A CALL has gone out for more artists to come forward to showcase their work at Sudbury Talbot Rotary Club’s seventh art exhibition.

The exhibition takes place in St Peter’s on Market Hill, Sudbury, in October and was launched in 2005 by Talbot Rotarian Sue Beven, herself an artist and exhibitor who is serving her second term as club president.

She said: “It’s always been our aim to provide local artists with a showcase for their work, helping to bring them to a wider audience and hopefully attract buyers, while also raising some much-needed funds to help us with our humanitarian aid projects and local charitable support.”

Although many artists have already responded to invitations to exhibit, there is still some space for more.

The show runs from October 9 to 12 and the closing date for artists to register their entries is Monday, September 10.
