Brad thanks top teacher

A YOUNG Sudbury entrepreneur has taken part in a television programme to praise his former teacher for inspiring him.

Brad Wright, 17, who runs Marimba Cafe with his family, gave credit to his former teacher at Linton Village College, Tom Minnock, for building up his confidence in business. The clip was shown on the Teaching Awards programme on BBC2 on Sunday.

“Mr Minnock always made business and enterprise exciting, and related everything we learned to real world situations,” said Brad

“I was pleased to be able to thank him so publicly.”

Mr Minnock was presented with his award, Enterprise Teacher in the East of England, by Education Secretary Ed Balls.
