A Sudbury businesswoman has been presented with an award in recognition of the “outstanding” service she provides at work.

Audrey Furnell, a director of Simon Green Associates (SGA) based in Old Market Place, received her surprise award from Ford Retail and breakfast television anchorman Eamonn Holmes at the Ford Retail Awards for Excellence, which she organised.

“I am absolutely delighted to have received this award from such a high-profile client,” said Ms Furnell. “I spend a lot of time organising recognition events for other people, so it is great to feel what it is like.”

SGA, which specialises in creating corporate events and business videos, is in its 26th year.

“It is very satisfying to know this is being recognised by our clients,” said Ms Furnell.

Ms Furnell’s work sees her organising and managing a range of important events for Ford Retail and working closely with hundreds of colleagues.

The annual awards are a celebration of the “best of the best” people working within the company.

Célia Pronto, Ford Retail’s marketing and e-commerce director, said: “Audrey regularly goes way beyond what could reasonably be expected to deliver an exceptional service to her customers.”
