A Sudbury art show is calling for people to pick up a paint brush and produce pieces to exhibit after a one-year absence.

Sudbury Talbot Rotary Club’s art exhibition and sale will be back at St Peter’s on Market Hill later this year.

Organiser Pennie Oglesby is in the process of contacting previous exhibitors, but also wishes to extend an invitation to new artists.

“We have always had a fantastic response from our regular exhibitors but, having taken a break last year because we could not find dates that did not clash with other exhibitions, we want to make sure that everyone knows we are back again this autumn,” said Pennie.

“All artists, using any medium, to produce original artwork can apply to take part in the Talbot Art Show. Past shows have included a mix of oils, watercolours, multi-media, photography, sculptures and even some stained-glass and ceramics.

“Our aim is to provide a showcase for local artists, an exhibition to appeal to a wide audience and raise funds for good causes.”

The show opens with a preview night on September 29 and runs until October 3.

To exhibit, email pennieo19@gmail.com or call Pennie on 01284 830218.
