Kate’s winning card puts Jesus at the heart of message

A ten-year-old school pupil has won a prize for her award-winning design of a Christmas card that will be used across Suffolk this month.

Kate Dade, a pupil at Elmsett CEVCP School designed the card after the St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocese invited 87 church schools to enter its competition to design a card for use across the diocese during December.

The Rt Rev Martin Seeley, Bishop of the St Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocese, presented Katie with her prize, an illustrated Lion Bible.

He said: “I particularly like the way in which Jesus is absolutely at the centre of Katie’s card, as he is at the centre of our worship this Christmas, and always.”
