A FILM last screened in Sudbury during the Second World War is coming to the town again this month.
The film The Ghost Train, staring comedy hero Arthur Askey, is being shown at The Quay Theatre on March 15. It was last shown at the former County Cinema in Kings Street in 1941.
Gainsborough’s House, the birthplace museum of Sudbury’s famous artist Thomas Gainsborough, is hosting the event.
Organiser Nick Winch said: “At the height of his fame, Arthur Askey was a household name and brought hilarity and mayhem to this popular film, turning it into one of our great classic comedy thrillers.
The evening starts with a reception and an authentic wartime cocktail. Tickets cost £8 and can be booked from the box office on 01787 374745 or email email@example.com.
