AN adventurous bunch of youngsters were performing tricks and flicks when a mobile skate park arrived in Boxford last week.
Children of all ages took their skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes to the grounds of the village’s primary school in School Lane to try out some jumps and ramps on Thursday.
The equipment, which was provided by Babergh District Council and hired by Boxford Parish Council, attracted a steady stream of interested youngsters, all keen to give the temporary structure a test run.
Nick Ridley, chairman of Babergh’s community safety partnership, said: “This equipment provides an excellent addition to our leisure team’s facilities.
“It shows that with some imagination and determination the council can build on its successful services for the benefit of Babergh’s residents and young people.”
The skate park, which can be used indoors as well as outside, has already been used at a number of different locations during school holidays since its first outing in February.
It is set to return to Boxford Primary School on September 1.
