Is there cash in your attic?

A NATIONAL firm of auctioneers is visiting Long Melford on Monday and is holding a collectables valuation event.

Warwick and Warwick will be at The Bull Hotel, in Hall Street, from 11am to 3pm to give advice on selling any memorabilia and valuables.

The company specialises in coins and banknotes, stamps, medals and militaria, postcards and cigarette cards, die cast toys and model railways.

A spokesman for the company said postcard collections, with black and white photographic views, can fetch anything from £5 to £50 each, especially with close ups of early omnibus or traction engines.

Coin collections, especially those made of gold, are also fetching high prices at auction.
