An inquest has been formally opened on a woman from Semer, near Hadleigh, who died after apparently falling from a multi storey car park.

Patricia Hopkins, 64, of Union Hill, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital where she died shortly afterwards.

She had been found at the foot of the Parkway multi storey car park in Bury St Edmunds on the morning of November 28 last year.

Opening the inquest in Bury St Edmunds today (Friday) Suffolk Coroner Dr Peter Dean said a post mortem examination by consultant pathologist Dr Karl Love had concluded that death was due to multiple injuries.

The inquest has been adjourned to allow further enquiries to be completed.
