A share of £6,500 has been split between St Nicholas Hospice Care and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

Nick Ridley, chairman of Babergh District Council, presented the money, raised from two council events and the Lord Belstead Charitable Trust, earlier this week.

“Without both of these charities, the community would suffer,” said Mr Ridley.
