STAFF from a Sudbury shop will be strutting their stuff for charity next week.

Workers at the Edinburgh Woollen Mill in Old Market Place are organising a catwalk show featuring some of the store’s new season clothes. They will be raising money for St Nicholas Hospice Care in the process.

Claire Ayers, the shop’s manager, said they had chosen to support the charity, which looks after people with life limiting illnesses, after a friend became ill and required the care of those at the hospice.

“It is such a good cause and all the proceeds will go to the charity,” said Mrs Ayers, who has been helped in preparing for Wednesday’s show by supervisor Linda Catanach.

“We have held a few catwalk events here in the past and they have always been a success so hopeful this one will continue that trend.

“The hospice does amazing work and it deserves all the help it can get.”

Tickets for the catwalk event are available for £2.50 from the shop.

The show begins at 7pm.
