Children lost themselves in the magical world of Beatrix Potter on Friday as Melford Hall was transformed into Mr McGregor’s Flower Garden and overrun by rabbits.

The event gave children and their parents the chance to make paper flowers to help decorate a Peter Rabbit carpet or a yew hedge, as well as following clues to find the elusive bunny in the grounds of the house where Beatrix Potter stayed and gathered inspiration from.

Philip Windsor, marketing and engagement co-ordinator at the hall, said: “This was the first time we’ve held this event for a number of years and we had more than 60 children come along – it went very well.”
