This year’s Hadleigh Show will be themed around modern farm machinery, organisers have announced.

The 175th annual show, organised by the Hadleigh Farmers’ Agricultural Association, takes place as usual at Holbecks Park.

Show director Paul Gillies said: “This year’s focus is on how we farm today and there will be lots of modern farm machinery – both on display and showing what they can do in the show ring.”

The heritage of the show, held on May 17, will be represented by vintage tractors and Suffolk Punch horses.

Ringside entertainment features the Welsh Axemen, the Young Farmers’ tug-o-war and the dog and duck show – with the dog rounding-up ducks instead of sheep.

There will be more than 150 animal classes on show and 120 trade stands exhibiting.
