A 20-year-old man from Great Cornard has been jailed for three years and four months after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply.

Christepher Geeves, of Mallard Way, was arrested on March 24, after police stopped a vehicle in Head Lane in Great Cornard around 11pm.

A quantity of cocaine was found in his pocket and items including cannabis, scales, deal bags and over £200 in cash were also recovered from the vehicle.

He was arrested and subsequently charged with possession of class A drug cocaine with intent to supply, and possession of class B drug cannabis with intent to supply.

He later pleaded guilty to both offences and appeared at Ipswich Crown Court last Monday, April 25, where he was sentenced to three years and four months in a young offender institution.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120.
