A SUDBURY charity has received a £1,000 grant to help its cause.
The Suffolk Befriending Scheme will use the money from the Department of Health to fund a film made by two members of the charity with learning disabilities, in partnership with media students.
The film will aim to raise awareness of the charity, which supports vulnerable people through a volunteer befriending scheme.
The charity’s chief executive officer, Shirley Moore, said: “‘The film will be shown to groups across West Suffolk.
“People with learning disabilities are often overlooked because they lack the confidence or skills to effectively express their opinions.”
