Rubbish and overgrown verges will have no hiding place in Sudbury following a donation from the town’s in bloom committee.

Members of the group have gifted the town council a new lawnmower and 20 litter picking sticks in order to help keep the area clean and tidy.

Community warden Bradley Smith said he was delighted with the donation.

“The committee chairman Nick Irwin felt the old lawnmower was past its best and we are very grateful for the new equipment,” he said.
