Sudbury pupils welcomed a party from the twin town of Höxter in Germany as part of a week-long exchange visit on Monday.
The group of 19 teenagers and teachers from the König-Wilhelm-Gymnasium arrived at Ormiston Sudbury Academy on Monday and spent time in class to experience life in an English school.
Jenny Turner, who teaches German at Ormiston Sudbury Academy and organised the trip, said: “Exchanges like this are perhaps the very best way to learn more about another country and to practice speaking another language.”
The German pupils also visited Cambridge and London while staying with local families. A return visit by a group from Sudbury is planned for summer.
