A Sudbury salon is turning the tables on teachers by asking them to hand in homework on their funniest classroom stories.

Penneys in North Street is launching a competition to raise money for equipment for schools in the Sudbury area, in which teachers send their best stories, with subjects’ names changed, to the salon.

For every story submitted, Penneys will donate a £10 raffle prize to the school and a free gift to the teacher. The best stories will be compiled into a book to be sold to raise further school funds.

Jeff Letter, owner of Penneys, said: “Our team is very much behind it and we are all looking forward to reading the stories.”

To enter, email your name, school, story and permission to use it in a book to info@penneysonline.com or, for more information on the competition, call the salon 0845 539 4201.
