Families from Sudbury and beyond had a fun, free day out at the town’s Party in the Park on Sunday.
The town council’s key summer event saw around 4,000 people visit Belle Vue Park during the day.
The event gives clubs and organisations an opportunity to show off what they offer to local residents for free, alongside entertainment in the main arena, an acoustic music area, a live music stage and plenty of activities for children.
“It was our eighth year and everything went together really well,” said event organiser Teresa Elford.
“All the feedback we’ve had has been very good. It’s just a nice day.
“The event is held to try and make people aware of all the different clubs we have in the town and helping to raise their profile.”
The clubs can attend and display for free, with some having an opportunity to show off their activity in the main arena, with a focus on participant participation.
The town council also pays for a climbing wall and bungee trampolines so children have free activities available.
Mrs Elford said the display by CYK Kung Fu was particularly popular while she described young singer Gabby Rivers as “absolutely amazing”.
