Two mothers who met when their children went to the same school – and discovered they shared a love of photography – have become business partners.
Nicky West and Cristina Ranson, both from Boxford, have set up a photographic business called Ranson and West.
Nicky, 41, began her career in London working for corporate companies. After having two children, Ellie, 10, and Jamie, eight, she decided to follow her passion for photography.
Cristina, 44, settled in Boxford in 2006 with husband, Robin, and two sons Noah, nine, and Kyran, seven. Her photographic career has taken her all over the world.
The business partners specialise in business pictures, as well as family photography and weddings.
“We love being creative and trying new things,” said Nicky, whose husband Stuart is a food photographer working for top retailers.
“We know what makes a great photograph and the environment needed to get it just right.”
The pair have a pop-up photography studio so they can easily visit companies to get stock shots for marketing, including brochures and social media.
Cristina added: “We always work together so clients are getting two photographers for the price of one.”
