A footbridge in Sible Hedingham has been opened after 10 years of waiting.

The bridge in Alderford Street, which connects Hedingham riverside walk to the local footpath network, was built using funding from a local development.

In total, the wooden structure and surrounding work cost £135,000.

The bridge was officially opened by David Finch, leader of Essex County Council.
