After waiting 260 years for a regular bus, the residents of Sible Hedingham got to enjoy three services a day last week after the parish council part-funded a new route to Sudbury.
Sally Glen, transport committee chairman for the parish council, said the bus’s first week went very well.
“Word is getting round,” she said. “The more passengers we get, the less we have to pay and the funding will last longer. Hopefully it’s really going to take off.”
Mrs Glen hopes people will also use the bus to visit Sible Hedingham.
