Fire crews from Sudbury tackled a fire started in a bin outside a house in Great Cornard last week.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a house fire in Head Lane on Friday.
Two fire engines from Sudbury attended having dealt with another incident nearby.
When they arrived at just after 4.30pm, they discovered the blaze was not inside the house but in a bin resting against it. They put out the fire within 30 minutes.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival, firefighters tackled a fire involving a waste bin against the side of the building.”
They used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel to put the fire out.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check the incident for hotspots and confirmed that the fire had not affected the internal structure of the property.
The incident was declared under control just before 5pm.
