NAYLAND celebrated its second village festival with a feast of entertainment and activities focusing on food, music and community talent.
Organised by Nayland with Wissington Community Council, the event attracted more than 1,000 people.
Festival chairman Iain Wright said: “It was highly successful and a great team effort all round.
“We hope to make a good profit as the money goes straight back to the community council.”
The festival began with the Village Players presenting Go West! followed by a cowboy supper, and ending with country dancing.
Next day there was a duck race down the Fen Street mill stream, with entertainment continuing on Webb’s Meadow.
Nayland Choir held a well-attended concert in the village hall and, in the evening, six bands playing a selection of jazz, blues, progressive rock, soul and funk, ending with a firework finale.
