A reunion of cousins took place at the Bull in Long Melford recently culminating in a party for 32.

On May 22, 16 grandchildren of George and Adelaide Steward, with their husbands and wives, travelled from all over the country to be present for the get together.

George and Adelaide, who died in 1956 and 1976 respectively, lived in Long Melford most of their lives and had nine daughters; Addie, Rosie, Lily, Ella, Ethel, Sylvia, Evelyn, Nora, and Olive.

Adelaide was the eldest daughter of Harry Salvage who was the head gardener at Kentwell Hall in about 1900.
