On Sunday Clare Castle Country Park will be hosting a day’s exploration of the park’s wildlife.

The event is for the whole family to investigate the wide variety of plants and animals living in the park.

Experts will be on hand to take groups on wildlife walks through the park and point out all those things which you might miss on your regular walks.

The day is also a ‘bioblitz’, which is a day when a record is made of all the living species in the park.

Members of the Stour Valley Educational Network will have displays and will be on hand to talk to children about all aspects of nature and engage them in a wide range of environmental studies.

Outdoor clothing is highly recommended, as visitors will be scrambling among trees and plants and identifying butterflies, bugs and all manner of creepy-crawlies.

The day starts at 10am with ample parking in the car park.
