More than 50 exhibitors will converge on Sudbury this weekend for the town’s first food and drink festival.
A Taste of Sudbury will feature cooking demonstrations and free tasters on Sunday.
Chefs from across the area, including Regis Crepy, from Lavenham’s Great House restaurant, and Chris Lee, from The Bildeston Crown, will be producing fine food on Market Hill, while a range of stalls will fill St Peter’s.
Jane Hatton, one of the event’s organisers, said the festival was a great chance for people to try something new.
“The majority of the 50 exhibitors will be providing tasters so there is really no reason why anyone would not want to come,” she said.
It is hoped the event, running from midday to 8pm, will go on to rival festivals of a similar ilk, such as the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival, and take place on a yearly basis.
