Sudbury solicitors Holmes & Hills has achieved national recognition by ranking as one of the best firms in the country for advice on planning law.

The firm, which has five offices across Suffolk and Essex, including one in North Street which opened two years ago, has been ranked in the top 50 solicitors in the UK in a law survey run by Planning Magazine.

For the third consecutive year, the legal firm was ranked among the top 50 – moving up from 45th slot to 33rd in the country.

David Whipps, senior partner in the firm’s planning and development team, said: “We are very pleased to have once again been recognised nationally for our planning law advice services, alongside some of the UK’s largest law firms. It is a testament to the experience or our team and the results they achieve for the firm’s clients.”

Holmes & Hills is one of two law firms in Suffolk to be identified in the magazine’s survey.

It follows Holmes & Hills being recognised as a leading regional firm for planning law advice by two independent directories of law firms – Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, which identifies and ranks the most outstanding law firms and lawyers in over 180 jurisdictions throughout the world.

David Whipps was also recognised by Chambers and Partners as the leading planning law solicitor in Essex.
