A donation of brushes, barrows and spades to the town council will help Sudbury stay in tip-top condition all year round.

The equipment was given to Sudbury Town Council on Thursday by The Landscape Group and will be used by young offenders from Catch 22 to tidy allotments, parks and surrounding villages.

Sue Brotherwood, town council clerk, said the equipment would aid preparations for Sudbury in Bloom – and last year’s rush to be ready could be avoided.

Charlotte Smith (pictured back row, second from right) who has worked with Catch 22 in Sudbury, said she had been “motivated to become a better person” by her involvement.
