THE call of the catwalk was loud and clear on Friday as Sudbury Upper School pupils put on a prom fashion show.

The whole event was organised by Year 11 creative and media diploma students as part of their course, and saw teenagers strutting their stuff in designs from Tiaras and Gems in Gosfield, Frocks for You and Sirens and Peddars in Sudbury.

Ellie Rayner, 15, from Sudbury, helped to organise the event.

“The night was really good – it looked great,” she said.

The two shows were attended by around 60 people keen to see the best dresses and tuxedos ahead of this summer’s proms.

“After the show finished, everyone gave us great feedback,” said Ellie.

Keri Wing, 16, from Great Cornard, added: “We all had our own parts of the project to do and we worked as a team to get it done.”
