A headteacher who is stepping down after more than a decade at Tudor Road Primary School in Sudbury has said she will miss the laughter of the children most when she leaves.
Sue Williams retired on Tuesday after 12 years at the school. To mark the occasion, pupils and staff arranged a concert at Ormiston Sudbury Academy on Friday.
“It was absolutely wonderful,” said Mrs Williams, who has been in teaching for 23 years. “The children were brilliant and although it was very emotional it was lovely as well.”
During the concert, children performed a number of dance routines and sang about retirement.
“The biggest thing I will miss is the laughter because the children have a fantastic sense of humour,” said Mrs Williams.
