The questions came thick and fast as students from seven schools descended on Great Cornard for the area finals of Suffolk’s Book Mastermind on Thursday.
Staged at Thomas Gainsborough School, the event, which aims to promote reading for enjoyment, saw seven contestants from across the area answering questions on their favourite book and general knowledge.
Dominic Bozwood-Davies, 13, (pictured) represented the Cornard school with his chosen book Catching Fire from The Hunger Games series, and finished third.
“It was a really close competition and an honour to hold the event,” said school librarian Heather Welch. msfp-07-02-13 ra 102
