A group of 30 staff and pupils from Hadleigh High School took their first steps towards walking 3,000 miles to raise money for a Ghanaian school on Monday.

Teacher Sue Calvino and her Year 8 children will be walking around the playing field during breaks and after every school day until the end of term, covering a total distance of 3,000 miles between them.

They are aiming to collect £1,000 in sponsorship to buy camera and computer equipment for the Abeyee school in the southern African country, in order to hold linked lessons and share learning methods. To make a donation, call the school on 01473 823496.
