Nursery’s school reunion

A SUDBURY nursery welcomed back their newest school starters for a celebratory tea party.

Anglia Sunshine Nurseries, in Warner Way, invited children who had started at Wells Hall, St Joseph’s, Tudor, Woodhall and Glemsford primary schools this month to catch up with their friends and staff at the nursery and show off their new uniforms.

Jacqui Stoneman, owner of Anglia Sunshine Nurseries in Sudbury, said: “It was brilliant and the kids loved it.

“We wanted to find out what they do and don’t like about going to school, as we wanted to know that what we give the children is relevant and useful. “

The illustrious alumni also told the preschool children what life is like in their new schools.

Mrs Stoneman said: “It was great for them to have tea with all their friends they had known for years.”

Jaena Nabi, nursery manager, added: “It is just to show how smooth the transition is, and hopefully we can then recruit new pre-schoolers to fill the spaces.”
