Great Cornard schoolchildren chatted with people from across the globe on Wednesday as part of International Education Week.

Thomas Gainsborough School students took part in online forums, discussing the ideas of young people and free time with pupils in other countries.

Headteacher Wayne Lloyd said: “Our students learn to understand that each one of them works as part of wider communities, each of which are important – their town, their county, their country and of course the global village that will be an integral part of their lives.”

The school currently works in partnership with schools in Poland, Germany, Spain, France, Colombia and The Gambia.
