Great Cornard choir hopes for TV stardom

Waiting for Video...

Pupils from Great Cornard Middle School are hoping they will get to perform during BBC’s Children in Need on November 16.

The group of 40 children, aged between 10 and 13, have been chosen to represent Suffolk as they sing Bridge Over Troubled Water at West Road concert hall in Cambridge. Around 2,000 pupils from across the country will be conducted by singer Aled Jones via video link.

Musical director Fi Cross said: “It is a wonderful opportunity for the children to hopefully feature on national television.

“They are ridiculously excited and are working very hard as we only have four rehearsals left.”

The school is expecting to be on television between 8.30pm and 9pm.
