A SUDBURY firm is celebrating after its newest product made an appearance on national television.

DaRo UV Systems, based in Church Field Road, has spent the last 10 months developing its hand hygiene Buster kits.

The product, aimed at nurseries and primary schools, was featured on Channel 5’s Live with Gabby – hosted by Gabby Logan – and was tested by doctors who discussed the importance of good hand hygiene in order to prevent the spread of infections.

Julian Cant, general manager at the company, said: “It is fantastic to get such high level exposure at this stage.

“We believe these packs will play a major role in significantly reducing the spread of infections in education settings, leading children to happier, healthier and better educated lives.”

The Buster packs use cartoon characters to help teach children about hand hygiene and use an ultraviolet light to ensure they are using the right hand washing techniques.
