HEALTHY EATING: Youngsters get advice on what to eat and why.

They say the early bird catches the worm, but at a Hadleigh school they also get a choice of cereal, fruit and juice.

Hadleigh Primary School launched its early bird breakfast club on Friday in an effort to teach children where their food comes from, how it is cooked and the importance of eating healthily. The scheme is run by charity Healthy Ambitions.

Deputy headteacher Annette Watts said the school was delighted to be the first in Suffolk to introduce the club. “This is something we are so excited about and are keen to develop it for more pupils,” she said.
