Acton Primary School is launching an Easter treasure trail as it sets out to raise funds for a new playground.
For the last few months, the school has been holding stalls and quiz nights so that its reception class, the Caterpillars, can have an improved outdoor area.
Open to everyone, the treasure trail will start on April 5 and will see participants buy a map for £1.50 from the school that will lead them around the village. All profits will go towards the playground fund.
Reception teacher Katy Hammond said: “It’s really important that children have access to outside areas in their first year of school – it really helps them with their learning.
“Some of the existing equipment is old and we need to make it exciting again.”
So far, £490 has been raised towards the £1,500 target.
