A DRIVER was taken to hospital after a collision with an electricity pole.
Emergency services were called to the crash in Lower Street, Stanstead, shortly after 8am on Saturday.
On arrival fire crews from Long Melford and Sudbury found a car on its side following a collision with an electricity pole.
Firefighters worked to free a man trapped in his car, before UK Power Networks arrived to deal with power cables on the road.
The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
