The headteacher and his deputy are set to retire from Boxford Primary School next month.

Rob Giles and deputy headteacher Wendy Mitson are leaving at the end of the summer term on July 21.

Mr Giles, who lives in Hadleigh, has been at the school for 23 years and Miss Mitson has been there for more than 19 years.

A keen golfer and member of the Stoke by Nayland Golf Club, Mr Giles says he plans to spend time cycling as well as playing golf.

New headteacher, Toby Barkworth-Knight, takes up his new role in September at the start of the new academic year. He is vice principal of a primary school in Turks and Caicos islands in the Caribbean.
