The headteacher of a Sudbury school has thanked the Free Press for an article publicising fears of dog fouling and littering on the school’s playing field.
Caroline Wilson, headteacher at Ormiston Sudbury Academy said: “We have noticed an improvement – there are still some members of the community that do not realise our land is private and lessons are taught daily on the fields but our students would like to thank all those that have recognised their learning space and respect it.
“We hope to report no issues in the future.”
There were previously complaints from members of the public about the amount of dogs faeces that was being left on the site.
There were also accusations that pupils were dropping litter on the field.
