Staff at a Sudbury care home have been commended for the way they look after frail and elderly residents in their care.
Workers at Catchpole Court Care Home were presented with a Rock (Recognition of Care and Kindness) award on Friday.
The award was handed over to home manager Martin Murphy by regional manager Johanna Fitzgerald.
“This award is only given to care homes which are excelling and in these times of austerity it is nice to know that the staff are being appreciated,” said Mr Murphy, who has been in charge since September 2011.
The home, which has 58 residents, was nominated through a secret ballot.
“It is very nice to get something like this as we strive to set high standards,” added Mr Murphy. “The staff deserve it.”
