STAFF at Glemsford Primary School are celebrating following a glowing report.
Ofsted inspectors praised the school’s progress after a monitoring visit in May.
The report stated: “The majority of the teaching seen during the inspection, and observed during the recent local authority review, was good.
“The establishment of a well-organised system for assessing, recording and analysing pupils’ progress has sharpened the school’s approach to raising attainment.”
Headteacher Liz Steele welcomed the findings of the report.
“The staff are all delighted and it spurs you on to keep progressing and improving,” she said.
“We have worked really hard to improve our assessment procedures and we look at every child’s progress.
“Monitoring visits are a real snapshot of how the school is doing, so when an external body recognises that work it provides a real boost to everyone.”
