Workers at the White Hart pub in Boxford may need a few drinks to steady their nerves this weekend as they prepare themselves for a charity bungee jump.
A total of 18 staff and customers will take part in a 200ft leap of faith in the car park of the Broad Street pub on Sunday. The event has been organised to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, Success After Stroke and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
“We just felt we should do our bit as a number of people in the village are helped by these charities,” said bar manager Nick Keeble, 19.
“It will be the first jump for many of us.”
