A NEW initiative has been set up to help report terrorist material on the internet.
The Counter Terrorism Internet Referral Unit (CTIRU) has developed a website making it easier for people to alert authorities to the promotion of terrorism and violent extremism on the internet.
The website will be used to remove unlawful terrorist material.
DCI John Perkins, of Suffolk Police, said: “Policing within the environment of the internet is a relatively new area but we are aiming to make it more hostile for people who use it for criminal purposes.”
