Rural business owners have been warned to take extra precautions to combat thieves after a spate of burglaries.
Corn Craft Tea Rooms at Bridge Farm Barns, Monks Eleigh, was broken into at around 3.15am on Wednesday. Burglars set off the security alarm but still made off with cash.
Owner Caroline Locker said: “I’d definitely say businesses should get an alarm because it was that which saved us. It could have been a lot worse.”
Hollow Trees Farm Shop in Semer was then targeted between 10pm on Wednesday and 5.30am on Thursday and a safe containing money was taken, along with a Hewlett-Packard laptop.
A blue Land Rover, registration AX02 OZR, which has a spare wheel cover with a pink pig on it, was also stolen.
Cloud Nine hairdressers in Brent Eleigh Road, Lavenham, also had a laptop and cash stolen between 5pm on Friday and 4.30am on Sunday.
Anyone with information should call Suffolk Police on 101.
