Two men and a woman were arrested in Halstead on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs on Friday.

Police officers supported by specialist armed officers entered an address in Colchester Road at around 3pm. A section of the road was closed for while police carried out initial investigations.

A quantity of suspected Class A drugs were found during a search of the property. A 48-year-old woman and 41-year-old man, both from Halstead, and a 21 year-old man from Manor Park, in east London, were all arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply.

Police obtained the search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs act after public concerns about drug dealing in the Braintree district.
