A DEVASTATED student has made a desperate plea for help after thieves stole “irreplaceable” course notes for his degree.
Luke Keating, of Drake Road, Sudbury, was left distraught when a rucksack containing seven months of study notes, papers, a test book and a laptop were taken from his Astra van outside his home on Wednesday night.
The 27-year-old, who began studying part-time for an honours degree in civil engineering in Ipswich in September, reported the laptop theft to police but said it was only when he came to do some course work that he realised his lever-arch file packed with notes and assignments was missing.
“When I realised it had been stolen, I was gutted,” he said. “I could have cried.
“All the work I’ve done for the course was in that bag and the notes are irreplaceable.”
The stolen Nike rucksack is described as black with one shoulder strap.
“I would like to appeal to whoever stole the bag to return it,” Luke said. “I desperately need it back.”
